The Budding Gardener

I have been sorting out my vege garden for the winter. This is a new thing for me- I have never grown veges before, and I'm going organic too. The caterpillars are loving it! Ben is big on spraying them with garlic- kills them beautifully!

I looked around the other day, and the Lukester had used his climbing skills to climb into the garden, and was busy playing with the dirt and the watering system and having a grand old time. He is suddenly such a big boy- where did my baby go?

Tonight he was standing up against the dishwasher door pulling utensils out of the rack! I wonder how long my delight at his new accomplishment will last...

The child is adorable, the garden lovely, but what is that yellow shiny stuff?....oh, I remember now, SUN!

From the Green Isle - it's green for a reason!!

He is so cute! Enjoy his achievements, each one at a time, they are so precious... You have plenty of time to "lament" them when they turn into naughtiness ;-)

Ooh, looks like you have a nasty case of Buggus Lukafrassus in that vegetable patch. Bubbly warm water in a large container (a bath, say) is a very good way of getting rid of the Lukafrassus temporarily but it does creep back in. A lot of the time it doesn't even like vegetables, curiously enough. Impossible to get rid of it once it's found your patch, I'm told.

Oh, he's just adorable! Beautiful photos. Thanks for visiting our blog -- yes, the humidifier is helping a lot! I think our little guy is on the upswing now. :-)
